Our Pastor
Beginnings (before ministry)
Brennan Wilson was born in Fort Meyers, Florida. His father was a pastor, which meant he moved several times during his childhood. He grew up mainly in Fredonia, Wisconsin, after his father began serving in the ministry of Regular Baptist Press.
Brennan trusted Christ when he was five years old as his mother explained salvation to him in their living room. His older brother had recently trusted Christ for salvation, so Brennan asked his mother how he too could be saved. That day she shared the Gospel with him, and Brennan believed in Jesus Christ for eternal life.
Brennan’s spiritual growth was minimal as he entered adolescence. When his family suffered the tragic death of his youngest brother due to health complications, Brennan turned from God for several years. Through his teen years, God continued to work in his life, and eventually he realized his total dissatisfaction without God. Brennan returned to church as a young adult and became actively involved in a Bible study where he started to really grow for the first time as a believer.
Calling
Brennan got involved in street evangelism and began sharing the Gospel with his unsaved friends. It was through the experience of evangelism that Brennan first sensed God’s calling on his life to ministry as he longed to share the good news of Jesus Christ with others.
He began studying the Bible intensively, and this time served as foundational ministry preparation in forming a basic and solid understanding of God’s Word.
Ministry Preparation
Brennan decided to pursue God’s calling on his life by seeking formal ministry and theological training at Shasta Bible College in Redding, California. During Brennan’s time at Shasta Bible College, he grew immensely. He took every language and theology course he could and was involved in the ministry of his local church. He served two summers as a youth ministry intern at his church, taught the middle school Bible class at the church’s school, and served as a youth group leader.
In his final summer while in college, he served as a pastoral intern in Carson City, Nevada, where he was privileged to preach for twelve weeks through the books of 1 and 2 Thessalonians and to be mentored in all aspects of pastoral ministry.
Ministry Experience
Brennan accepted the call to be the pastor of Trinity Bible Church at River Oaks in November of 2021. Before coming to Trinity, Brennan served the Lord as an assistant editor with Regular Baptist Press where he wrote and developed youth Sunday school and Vacation Bible School (VBS) curriculum.
